On June 8, 2006, business teachers and professors from
around the State of Illinois met at the Illinois Office of Educational
Services in Springfield. The purpose of this meeting was to identify
individual lessons from the "Duties Areas" and "Task Lists" outlined by the
members of the DACUM committee, who received their impetus from the results
of the Statewide Advisory Committee.
The following individuals divided into groups and
brainstormed to identify crucial lessons which needed to be included under
each category. From that list of lesson titles, teachers began writing
curriculum in the summer of 2006.
