Linda Walker, Family and Consumer Sciences facilitator for the Career and Technical Education Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI), and Diane Mahinda, Business, Marketing & Computer Education facilitator will conduct a project-specific workshop for CTE teachers on Monday, September 8 at the N.O. Nelson complex in Edwardsville. Participants will receive hands-on training in the following areas:

  • CRI products and services update
  • www.ilcte.org Lesson Plan Library and resources
  • Content-area lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations
  • Course outlines
  • Additional lesson planning resources
  • Evaluation materials

The Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) is holding a half-day training session to prepare individuals to write curriculum for the CRI Lesson Plan Library. The training will be held at Heartland Community College in Bloomington, Illinois, on September 29, 2008 from 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Individuals will be trained in writing lessons aligned to Illinois Learning Standards for the 4 CTE content areas of Business, Marketing, and Computer Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Science Technology, and Technology and Engineering Education. The lessons will then be added to the CRI Lesson Plan Library located at www.ILCTE.org.
