The Health Science Technology (HST) Facillitator for the Career and Technical Education Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) will conduct a project-specific presentation for Administrators & Nurses at the Illinois Hospital Association, 700 South 2nd Street in Springfield, IL.
 
The attendees will be introduced to the Curriculum Revitalization Initiative Lesson Library, and have an opportunity to view HST lessons, including a PBL Model Lesson on Infectious Diseases that allows teachers to cover 6 lessons, using one problem.

  • Examine HST and IT lesson plans and PowerPoint lessons.

  The Illinois Business Education Association (IBEA) is sponsoring a Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) Orientation Workshop during its Annual Conference, November 8 and 9, 2007, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, Springfield, IL.  A hands-on workshop, entitled "Resources and the CRI," will be presented by Diane Mahinda, CRI Business, Marketing and Management Facilitator.

A Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) Workshop is set for the Illinois Council of Community College Administrators (ICCCA) Conference, November 14 and 15, 2007 at the Tinley Park Holiday Inn Select, 18501 South Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, IL (I–80 and Harlem Avenue). On Thursday, November 15th, Robert W. Hotes Ph. D., SPHR, and Diane Mahinda, CRI Facilitators, Southern Illinois University - Illinois Office of Educational Services, will present a workshop entitled "Revitalizing the Career and Technical Education Curriculum in Illinois: Building A Community College/Secondary Education Interface."

Description:
The recently reauthorized Perkins legislation emphasizes the interface between Secondary Career and Technical and post-secondary education. This interactive presentation will describe the CTE Curriculum Revitalization Initiative of the Illinois State Board of Education emphasizing secondary post-secondary articulation. (St. Andrew)

  Representatives of the Career and Technical Education Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) will conduct project-specific Round Table sessions and host an informational booth during the 75th Joint Annual Conference of the Illinois Association of School Boards, Illinois Association of School Administrators and Illinois Association of School Business Officials at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Chicago, IL, November 16–18, 2007.

Booth activities include:
• Demonstrations of the CTE website:  www.ilcte.org.
• Sample Lesson Plan handouts.
• Complimentary Lesson Plan Library CD.

Round Table session participants would:
• Receive a CRI products and services update.
• Review the Lesson Library and PowerPoint lesson resources.
• Register a username and password for www.ilcte.org.
