  Two Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) Orientation Workshops are set for the Fall Classic Teacher Institute on October 5, 2007 beginning at 8 AM at Mattoon High School, Mattoon, IL.   Specifically, the breakout sessions and presenters are:

> "The CRI Match–CTE and Academics" by Diane Mahinda, CRI BMM Facilitator.
> "Delivering CRI Lessons using a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Approach" by Linda Cozzolino, CRI HST Facilitator.

Participants would: 
• Receive a CRI products and services update.
• Review the www.ilcte.org Lesson Plan Library and resources.
• Examine content-area lesson plans and PowerPoint lessons.
• Review the match between CRI lessons and the Illinois Learning Standards.
• Participate in a PBL delivery model using CRI lesson plans.

A NEW Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Fall Update Session is added to the schedule for October 10, 2007 at South Elgin High School.  The program includes professional opportunities, curriculum resources, networking, dinner, and updates from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), the Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI), FCCLA, IAFCS, and IFACSTA. 

Session date, location and time is:
OCT 10   South Elgin HS, 760 E. Main St., South Elgin, 6:30–8:30 PM  
  
Participants would:
• Review Illinois CTE Website resources and CRI lesson plans.
• Learn about upoming FCS web casts.  
• Discuss updates with presenters Deborah Hopper, ISBE, Linda Walker, CRI, and Marta Lockwood, FCCLA. 

Registration is $5.00 per person.  Additional information about the Fall Update Sessions is available from Linda Walker.

  Four Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) Orientation Workshops are scheduled with the Ohio and Wabash Valley Regional Vocational System on October 16 and 17, 2007 at the Hood Center, Norris City, IL.  The schedule and presenters include:

October 16
> 9:00 to 11:00 AM:  Robert Hotes, CRI Industrial Technology Facilitator
> 12:25 to 2:25 PM:  Linda Walker, CRI Family & Consumer Sciences Facilitator

October 17
> 9:05 to 11:00 AM:  Diane Mahinda, CRI Business, Marketing & Management Facilitator
> 12:25 to 2:25 PM:  Linda Cozzolino, CRI Health Science Technology Facilitator

Participants would:
• Receive a CRI products and services update.

Dr. Robert Hotes, CRI Industrial Technology (IT) Facilitator, and Steve Parrot Illinois State Board of Education IT Consultant will conduct this interactive session.
